1. Begin your Status Correction paperwork – download or check option on TECA.live

1.2 Check post code click here to find Historic County of birth and Historic County where you currently live (if different).

1.3 Gather 2 living man or woman that willing to witness, know you more that 7 years preferably. (FAQ 109) Follow the instructions if unsure get in touch with your County coordinator. Fill the paperwork in black and autograph in blue or red

1.3.1 Two witness testimonies; and

1.3.2 Declaration political status and

1.3.3 Get your documents verify by 3 witnesses, or a Recording Secretary or a Public

Notary and your status correction paperwork is completed.

2. Other documents preparation and scan original copy.

2.1 Photo ID (passport or driving licence) save in JPEG or PNG format.

2.2 Proof of Address save in pdf format – Bills with your address or postcard with your name and address

2.3 Your thumbprint and passport photo and save in JPEG or PNG format.

2.4 Scan the Declaration and witness testimonies in pdf format.

2.5 Self-certified copy of your Birth certificate; see 4. see FAQ 065 how to self certify copy.

3. Create your GFG account, goto https://globalfamilygroup.com/lrps see FAQ 052

3.1 Follow instructions on the video (important) and if you need more help get in touch with your county coordinator. Plus  A Few Extra notes on opening accounts 

3.2 Upload your documents, photo ID, proof of address, pictures (Do not upload Birth Certificates to Global Family Group).

(important ) When you create your account, and log in, you will get your first message that will reveal your Security Key. This message will only show up once, ensure you print a copy, screen shot and or write down and keep it safe. (This message only appears once, it  disappears  after  been opened read)

4. Photocopy and self-certified 15 copies of each original docs see FAQ 065

4.1 Cover letter to Foreign Secretary with the following by recorded post:

4.2 Declaration of Political Status and two witness testimonies

4.3 Self-certified copy of your Birth certificate;

5. Send the original cover letter to Foreign Secretary via Royal Mail Recorded delivery with the certified copy Declaration paper, witness testimonies and birth certificate. The date you send this paperwork is your Proclamation Date

5.1 Send one set to yourself – keep safe and sealed (unopened)

5.2 Send one set to a family member or a friend – keep safe and sealed (unopened)

5.3 Keep the original set safe for later date if you need to make more copies

5.4 Send the rest of your copies to official list FAQ 081

5.5 Publish your Public Notices of Praecipe on TECA.live or use public newspapers or notice broads (email your notice to [email protected]) for uploading see FAQ 110
